With the release of GPT-3 in 2020 and the subsequent rise of accessible, consumer-friendly text generation services, it's become a bit of a trend to make silly predictive text queries. Being intrigued by the promises of silliness, I fed it my top 50 music genres, and got the following list (curated). Enjoy!

Some of these are cool ideas (see: Samba Punk), some are simply not genres (see: Geography), and even more are downright perplexing (see: most of them). However, for most of the entries, it's possible to see which patterns GPT-3 clings to. For example, while "The Rock" isn't a genre, putting a modifier before "rock" is quite common; plus, The (noun) is a common pattern for band names, a related concept.

Aside from that, I can only hope someone takes one of these fake genres and makes it real according to their own interpretation. Imagine what Fantasy Funk would sound like...
